News

  • Privacy breaches and information security exposures affect more and more small businesses every year. Your office policy and/or professional liability policy may contain a small amount of cyber protection but for complete protection you need a separate Cyber Liability Insurance policy.  Whether it is your system that is affected or a clients system that you have unknowingly infected with malware, you are at risk. You can protect your business from great financial exposure by putting in place a cyber liability plan. Email us at agent@hdiers.com and we will contact you to discuss this important piece of your risk management program.

  • Heading into 2020 with the proper coverage makes for a great New Year!

Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas is just around the corner. As we approach the end of one year and the beginning of the next it is a great time to review your personal and business insurance needs. Have your disability and life insurance plans kept up with your increased earnings and needs? Have you looked at the current property limits on your business insurance policy to make sure they are up to date? Contact us at Harold Diers & Co. to schedule a coverage review. Email us at agent@hdiers.com.

  • Cyber Discussions with Employees

Are you discussing Cyber Liability with your employees? If so, congratulations...you are ahead of the game! If not, now is the time to begin. Talk to your employees about suspicious email messages. Phishing emails are a great way for criminals to gain access to your system. Social Engineering risks are growing as well. A criminal can make an email look like it is coming from one of your regular email contacts. They will look for patterns and jump right into the middle of an email string. Before you know it you are opening up their attachments giving them access or sending off money you think is going to a client. If you think Halloween is scary.....it's nothing compared to the cyber criminal's potential!

  • DMEPOS Bonds for Medicare from Harold Diers & Co.

Recent Medicare changes now require dentists who act as Durable Medical Equipment providers for Medicare approved appliances (sleep apnea oral appliances) to secure a $50,000 surety bond. If you have received a letter from the Center of Medicare & Medicaid Services instructing you to get the DMEPOS bond, we can handle it for you quickly and painlessly. Our underwriter has recently loosened requirements for the bond as it relates to the application process so we can get the bond for you in a day.
